the future
Judging by the ease at how the “health industry” have controlled our lives so far, and programmed the younger generation, nothing will stop them taking it further, a lot further. Their lives are dedicated to controlling people, in an obsessive compulsive way only a psychiatrist would understand. We all know, it's not just smokers they are attacking, it's anybody having a drink, or eating food not in our best interests.
Our fight against the anti smoker groups will not be easy, they have huge financial backing, are very powerful, and control public opinion. They employ the best spin doctors, and have resources we could only dream about. Even when we prove the science is wrong, or manipulated for their cause, the media will ignore us, it's not in their own best financial interests!
There is one big difference, they do it all for money, if that wasn’t there, neither would they. We fight them because we’re passionate about freedom of choice and truth.
Smoking outside café’s, pubs and other venues will be banned soon, then in cars, smoking in public will be next, but it will all happen by stealth, with the health industry putting forward many lies for it’s introduction. Very few people will dig deeper to see the lies and spin used to justify their actions.
The “anti everything council” tells us smoking is the cause of every disease known to man. The reason is simple, they can justify more tax on smokers for the health system, and their own pockets. They tell more lies than you can shake a stick at, but who questions them, and their motives.
The NSW Young Labor Party recently announced their policy of a total ban on the sale of tobacco products within 20 years. I asked them why, and sent some information on the truth, but they didn’t respond. It’s hard to face the truth, when these young people have been brainwashed for so long.
Nobody questions these guru’s of our wellbeing, their “facts” and “figures” being very rubbery, they feel the means justify their ideological ends. Australia is to be the healthiest country in the world by 2020, so the Preventative Health Taskforce tells us recently in their report to government. The last group of people to suggest something similar was in Germany many years ago, do we want the same? This healthy nation will not happen through education and choice, it will be forced on us through legislation and high taxes on products and activities deemed not in our best interests.
In George Orwells “1984” they were called the thought police, but we see them more and more like the health industry police, and far from being the font of information to improve our lives, more and more they pressure government to make laws controlling our lives. We are all treated like little kids needing some kind of parental control from this health industry.
Some overpaid research body will tell us nearly everything we do is wrong, and they need more money to find out what it is. Ok, everybody needs to make a living, and they can research their little hearts out, but don’t then use false science to form legislation changing how I live my life, simply inform me, and let me choose.
Drinking, eating, smoking, activities etc, everything we do is a target, and the media just goes along with everything they say, they don’t have a choice, how can the media prove otherwise. Why would they, when so much propaganda money is available, remember, don't bite the hand that feeds you.
If we don’t act now, as some kind of opposition to the free range of these pressure groups, we may as well sit at home in cotton wool and forget about living, simply to extend life, and die healthy.
We have already seen the fanaticism of none smokers towards smokers, and the discrimination that follows, imagine life with anything they consider “bad” being banned by these health police.
I like Australian apathy towards politicians and health groups, part of our culture really, but the line has been crossed, and we need to stand up now.

Time for smokers' action, says Bloom ( from UK Telegraph )
Tuesday, 30th June 2009
EU plans launched today intending to ban all smoking in public places, including beer gardens, parks, festivals and the like were greeted by disbelief and a call to action from Godfrey Bloom MEP for Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire.
“Enough is enough,” said Mr Bloom. “Today six pubs will close in the UK. Part of our culture is under threat and now is the time to say enough is enough. These jumped up puritanical dictators must be told where to get off.
"Nobody pretends that smoking is a good thing, but it is legal. So why don't they come clean and announce an outright ban? Because they daren't. Making 12 million Britons criminals overnight might be gong a little too far even for them. But making them second class citizens, well it seems that is no problem.
"These bullies seem to have no truck with freedom, liberty or tolerance. Well, in that case we shall have to take it back. And if that means a certain level of civil disobedience, well, so be it.” |
