Quit smoking or Stop smoking

People try many different methods to stop smoking, in fact we are professionals. Can we just say, be very careful with drugs like Zyban and Champix, they can be quite dangerous. Be aware of the psychological impact of these types of medications. Do a google search on Chapix suicide and at least be aware of of the side effects.

People are always asking why the government doesn't subsidise nicotine replacement products, and their is one simple answer, they don't work in 98.4 % of smokers, but the pharmaceutical companies make a fortune from them. They give them the cute name of Nicotine Replacement Therapy, they don't say the active ingredient is "money" which will be therapeutically removed from your wallet.

The stop smoking industry is worth billions of dollars every year, and the last thing they want is anybody to rock their comfy little boat. It employs thousands of people, in the lobby groups, health sectors and the all powerful pharmaceutical industries.

Stop smoking ad's in the media alone cost a fortune, and in these difficult times, media are not going to reveal the truth, it could impact on their bottom line, and shareholders would not be very happy.

Government and pharmaceutical companies are addicted to the high profit margins squeezed out of us.Quit smoking or stop smoking may sound the same, but quit smoking is an arm of the anti everything council, funded by state and federal governments. Stop smoking is more about the act of not smoking.

E-Cigarettes Are Banned In Australia?

People around the world use this great invention to help quit smoking, or just to avoid using tobacco. What does our government do under Matron Roxon, ban them. She has to be the biggest nanny in our nanny state, stupidity knows no bounds with this "Minister". A good article can be found at   http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2009/01/e-cigarettes_are_banned_in_australia/#

We believe pressure from the big pharmaceuticals forced her stupid decision, even though she is quite capable of her own stupidity, and we feel she is totally our of her depth.

In the interests of balance, and hearing the arguments of the health Industry, below is a link to the Anti Cancer Council of Victoria book on tobacco control. We are not in a position to question their science, very few people can, but we feel obliged to present all points of view.

It is sad, that a once highly respected organization used gutter advertising methods to portray smokers as some kind of low life. It is not the Australian way, but we suspect it was not formulated in this country.
