The Pharmaceutical Scam
Pfizer was recently fined over 2 billion US dollars for promoting a drug for purposes other than what it was passed for by the FDA. Pharmaceutical companies are regularly fined and this is only petty cash to them, and only a few people died.
Many people ask why NRT or "nicotine replacement therapy" is not available on our pharmaceutical benefits scheme, and the answer is simple, IT DOESN"T WORK. Less than 4% of people trying this method succeeded when reviewed after 12 months. It makes no difference to big Pharma', and we predict a huge push by them to get it listed in the next few years. The active ingredient is money, vast amounts of it, and their spin doctors will work overtime to con' the Australian public into believing it works.
Then we have the insidious, mind altering drugs like Zyban and Champix. Doctors hand these drugs out like lollies, and probably not mention that Champix is being investigated in the US for it's "severe" side effects. Our team has personal experience with Zyban, one member being on the trial at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne. He didn't complete it, withdrawing in despair at it's huge side effects, shocked it actually went on sale.
In the US, Champix is being investigated as the possible cause of suicide, heart attacks and family breakups due to it's incredible mind altering nature. It contains the same active ingredient as NRT, money !
Big pharmaceutical companies now compete with big tobacco, but their retail outlets are chemists, doctors and hospitals. They use lobby groups such as ASH (Action on Smoking and Health) to promote their evil products, along with "quit" and the Anti Cancer Council. We have all seen the VERY expensive ad' campaigns by the drug manufactures and lobby groups. They will make money while they can, possibly withdraw these evil drugs in the future, and release the next "new wonder drug" in the old K-Tel method of selling. From time to time they will be sued, have to pay out a few billion dollars, but the earnings are so vast, it's just part of doing business.
Their is so much more information on the web about the scams of this industry, we have only focused on the anti smoking part of it in a small way. gullible and sometimes desperate people will try anything, and big pharma' is their to provide it. We can't say they manipulate science to achieve the results they want, but many have questioned their practices.
One day the truth will be known about "swine flu" and the actions of the World Health Organization, and big pharmaceuticals. At this time, it all looks a bit convenient, with great media coverage for the WHO, and massive increases in profits for big pharma'. At the moment it's only a conspiracy theory, with no evidence, but it reflects the lack of trust trust we hold in the WHO and big pharma'.

European Parliament to Investigate WHO and “Pandemic” Scandal
The Council of Europe member states will launch an inquiry in January 2010 on the influence of the pharmaceutical companies on the global swine flu campaign, focusing especially on extent of the pharma‘s industry’s influence on WHO. The Health Committee of the EU Parliament has unanimously passed a resolution calling for the inquiry. The step is a long-overdue move to public transparency of a “Golden Triangle” of drug corruption between WHO, the pharma industry and academic scientists that has permanently damaged the lives of millions and even caused death.

Canadian singer/songwriter Avril Lavigne suffering the old errect fingers syndrome, when asked what she thought of the pharmaceutical industry, ok, maybe not. But it does reflect how we feel about some of their dishonest practices.
